Introducing the R.A.W. Method by Amara Lane: Recognize. Audit. Work it.
I love Pinterest.
The colors, the grids, the dopamine.
But the moment I have to actually publish something on it?
My brain turns into a drama queen.
“It’s too time consuming.”
“What if is this pin is not so fresh?”
“Let’s just tweak the font for the 47th time.”
Mental barrier, party of one.
And the worst part?
It doesn’t feel like fear.
It feels like… strategy.
Smart. Reasonable. Strategic.
Until you zoom out and realize you’ve been “preparing” for two weeks and still haven’t hit publish.
Yeah. That kind of barrier.
So let’s be honest:
Most mental blocks don’t show up as loud panic.
They show up in disguise:
– A perfectly logical excuse
– A well-timed coffee break
– A tiny tweak that turns into an endless delay
I’ve been there.
So I made myself a method.
A way to catch my own patterns before they derail my day.
A method you’ve seen explained through my articles in different ways.
It’s called R.A.W.
Not because it’s harsh.
But because it works.
The RAW Coaching Method by Amara Lane
R — Recognize
You feel it.
The pull toward procrastination.
The tightness in your chest.
The sneaky voice saying, “Maybe tomorrow…”
Catch it.
Name it.
Don’t fight it yet — just recognize the loop.
A — Audit
Ask the awkward question:
“Is this thought helping me or stopping me?”
Most of the time? It’s mental noise dressed as logic.
Your brain is doing its job: keeping you safe.
But safe isn’t always useful.
Audit what’s real.
Audit what’s fear.
Separate the two.
W — Work it
This is the move.
Not in theory — in motion.
You don’t fix a spiral by thinking harder.
You fix it by doing one thing.
Tiny. Real. On purpose.
Hit publish
Send the email
Stand up and breathe
Write one damn sentence
Whatever breaks the loop — do that.
Real talk: You don’t need a full mindset makeover
You just need 5 minutes of mental honesty.
Enough to stop abandoning yourself mid-move.
RAW isn’t magic. It’s pattern interruption.
You can use it in the middle of a breakdown. Or right before one.
I use it daily.
Especially when I'm about to “rebrand my Pinterest strategy” again instead of… you know, posting.
This is my Pinterest if you want to take a look, btw!
Try it next time your brain starts spiraling:
1. Recognize the first thought that hits
2. Audit it: “Is this true? Or just familiar?”
3. Work it: Pick one intentional action — no matter how small — and DO IT.
Then breathe.
You just broke the loop.

I’m putting together a quick guide — something you can keep on your desk, journal, or forehead (if necessary).
Drop a comment if you want early access. I’ll send it your way when it’s ready.
In the meantime:
Go RAW.
Break the barrier.
Win the hour.
